Why am I not getting email alerts?
Check your spam folder and mark Sentinel emails as safe. If you're still not receiving alerts, verify that your email address is correctly entered in your profile settings.
Is this a forecast?
No. Sentinel is a scenario tool that shows what could happen based on recent market behavior. It's not predicting the future, but rather showing a range of possible outcomes based on historical volatility patterns.
Can I change the inputs?
The default settings are designed to work well for most users. If you want more control over the simulation parameters, reach out to sentinel@bitpulse.io. We can provide highly customizable solutions tailored to your specific needs.
Technical Questions
How often is funding applied?
We align with the venue's schedule (e.g., every 8 hours). We hold the latest published rate constant during the simulation unless you choose an advanced funding model.
Do you consider leverage and liquidations?
Yes. We use venue rules or your manual inputs to estimate liquidation probability. The simulation takes into account your position size, leverage, and the exchange's liquidation mechanics.
How many simulations do you run?
We run 7,500 simulations for each analysis. This number provides a good balance between statistical robustness and computational efficiency.
How do Monte Carlo simulations work?
We run thousands of randomized price paths and summarize the results. Each path represents a possible future scenario based on historical volatility patterns. More simulations generally produce smoother statistics, but require more computational resources.
Account & Security
Is my API key safe?
Yes. We only require read-only API keys, which cannot be used to place trades or withdraw funds. Additionally, all API keys are encrypted and stored securely following industry best practices.
Which exchanges are supported?
Sentinel currently supports major exchanges including Binance, FTX, Bybit, and others. We're continuously adding support for additional exchanges.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings page. This will permanently remove all your API keys, position data, and personal information from our systems.
